Wasted

”It was during the period when I was finishing furniture for the U Sukhumvit Bangkok hotel, that I observed large quantities of wood and metal that were wasted in daily production. Good wood blocks were discarded due to small errors, the same to aluminum residues. My work process – to find inspiration in the most unexpected places – is no different to when I make art. It is often my observations of the world around me that set the idea in time and provokes the need to challenge a problem from my own angle – so people can be woken up. I wish for people to think while meeting my things. Also, with WASTED, it simply shows how there is beauty in the discarded.  It’s exactly the errors and imperfections that make us interesting, for ourselves and for each other.” - Marco Evaristti.
